The free plugin is a whole product, not a teaser.
Product boxes, saved boxes, the block, all five layouts, all twenty-two marketplaces, per-country tags and the Amazon Creators API in full are free and always will be. Premium adds five more things you can build, sends each visitor to the store nearest them, and tells you which box was actually clicked — which Amazon cannot, because it sees the tag and not the placement.

Questions
The things people ask first.
Do I have to paste shortcodes?
No. Add the Affiliate Box block, choose from a list of everything you have saved, and the box appears while you choose — drawn by the plugin, not an imitation of it. One block covers product boxes, comparison tables, bestseller lists and reviews; the kind is written beside each name.
The shortcode is still there and still the same. A block runs it, so a block and a pasted line produce exactly the same box — which also means nothing already in a post needs editing.
Do I need an Amazon API key?
No. Out of the box the plugin builds outbound links from the ASIN or URL you give it, appends the correct Associates tag, and fetches nothing.
Connect one and it does more, and this is part of the free plugin: the Amazon Creators API fills a box from an ASIN or a keyword search — title, image, price, star rating and review count. It is the successor to the Product Advertising API, which Amazon has retired, and you create the credential yourself under Tools → Creators API in Associates Central. Amazon issues one only to accounts with recent qualifying sales.
What happens if a country has no tag configured?
It borrows the Tracking ID of your fallback store, so a link is never tagless. You nominate which store that is under General → Which Amazon store; it is the United States until you change it.
That it is a choice and not a fixed rule matters more than it sounds. Somebody selling on amazon.in and nowhere else holds no US Tracking ID at all — and if the fallback were wired to the United States, adding a US account later would push their Indian tag out of the slot every other store had been quietly borrowing. Growing a business should not cost you the rest of your markets.
It is a stopgap either way, not a substitute for enrolling: a link to amazon.de under a US ID earns nothing.
Which geolocation services does Premium use?
Ideally none. The reader’s browser asks your site first, and your site reads the country from a header its CDN already attached — Cloudflare adds one on every plan including the free one, and CloudFront, Vercel, Fastly and several managed hosts do the same. Nothing is looked up and nobody is called: you received that IP address the moment the reader opened the article.
Only where no such header arrives does it fall to BigDataCloud, with ipwho.is as failover. Both are free and need no API key, but the reader’s IP then goes to a company outside the EU — so it is a switch you can turn off, and a consent banner can hold it back until the reader agrees. Either answer is cached in their own browser for 24 hours.
What if both lookup services are down?
The box keeps the default marketplace rendered by your server. The link still works and still carries your tag — visitors simply are not routed.
Does the free version phone home?
No. It connects to no external service, sends nothing to us or to any third party, and ships no tracking or analytics code.
Can I use it in a sidebar widget?
Yes, three ways. On a block theme the Affiliate Box block works in widget areas directly. On a site running Classic Widgets there is a widget of the same name. And a Shortcode block with layout="sidebar" works wherever either does — the box switches to a vertical, centred layout that fills the column up to 400 px.
Is Premium a subscription? What happens if I stop paying?
A Premium licence runs for twelve months and renews yearly until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the term you already paid for.
If a licence lapses, the plugin keeps working. Your boxes, lists and tables stay in place and keep rendering. What stops is updates and support — which matters, because the Amazon API and the geolocation services do change over time.
How many websites does one licence cover?
One, three or ten, depending on the tier: $19.99, $39.99 or $89.99 a year. A website means one WordPress installation. Staging and development copies of a licensed site are free and do not count against your tier.

Can I get a refund?
