AAWP alternatives

We make one of these. Doozly is our plugin, so read this page the way you would read any comparison written by a competitor. The defence is that every number below is linked to the vendor’s own page and dated, so you can check the lot in about ten minutes — and where AAWP is the better buy, this page says so.

What they cost

All figures read off each vendor’s own pricing page on 21 August 2026, for a single site. Nothing is converted between currencies: AAWP prices in euro, the rest in dollars, and an exchange rate we invented today would be wrong by the time you read it.

AzonPress publishes a monthly figure and the words “Billed Annually” but no yearly total, and a 20 % discount was running on the day we looked. We have not multiplied it out for you, because the number we would print is a guess about which of the two monthly rates the annual charge uses.

What runs without paying

This is the question behind most searches for an AAWP alternative, and the answers are less generous than the word “free” suggests on three of the four sites that use it.

AAWP has no free tier at all. There is no trial and no limited build; there is a 30-day money-back guarantee, which is a refund, not a free version. You pay €79 before you display one product box.

Content Egg’s free version is real and large — over 10,000 active installations, with price comparison, price history and its block library included. The catch matters if you are here for Amazon: the network modules, Amazon among them, are what Pro adds. The free build is a serious plugin that does not do the thing you came for.

Lasso’s free tier covers one property and single product displays. International link localisation — sending a reader to their own Amazon store — starts at the $29-a-month Pro plan.

AzonPress is not in the WordPress.org plugin directory as of 21 August 2026, and its pricing page lists only paid plans.

Ours is the odd one out and it is worth being precise rather than boastful about why: the free Doozly build is the whole plugin, including the Amazon Creators API, a tracking ID per marketplace for all twenty-two stores, saved boxes, star ratings and the disclosure line. Premium adds three things — routing by visitor country, bestseller lists and comparison tables — plus the nightly price refresh. The pricing page lists the split row by row.

Which Amazon stores they reach

Amazon runs the Associates programme separately per country, and the list has grown: Sweden in 2020, Poland in 2021, Belgium in 2022, Ireland in March 2025. A plugin that cannot build a link to a store cannot earn you anything there.

We cannot read AAWP’s source code, so this compares the only thing both sides can check — what each vendor’s own documentation says. That turned up something we did not expect: AAWP’s two feature pages do not agree with each other.

The seven on neither list are Ireland, Belgium, Sweden, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Singapore — four of them European, which is where a lot of English-language affiliate traffic sits. If your readers are there and the plugin cannot address those stores, the click either goes to the wrong Amazon or earns nobody anything.

The comparison runs the other way once: both AAWP pages name China and we do not. Doozly carries no amazon.cn tag. If China is part of your plan, that is a point against us and there is no way to dress it up.

Worth repeating because it is easy to over-read: this is a documentation comparison. AAWP’s plugin may well address stores its marketing pages have not caught up with. The feature everyone asks about

Sending each reader to their nearest Amazon is the reason most people go looking for a plugin in the first place, and there is a myth worth killing here: AAWP does this too. Anyone telling you geotargeting is what separates the paid plugins has not read their feature list.

Both of us do it the same way, and neither should claim a privacy advantage over the other. AAWP resolves the visitor’s country through a third-party lookup service — its documentation offers geoip-db.com, ipdata.co and ipinfo.io. Doozly calls one too. Either way a visitor’s IP address reaches a company that is not you, which belongs in your privacy policy whichever plugin you pick. Amazon’s own OneLink does the job free, reaches fourteen stores, and only rewrites links it can recognise in the page.

When the vendor stops answering

AmaLinks Pro is on every “best Amazon affiliate plugin” list published before 2026. Its website has been unreachable for months. We fetched amalinkspro.com on 21 August 2026 and got an HTTP 525 — the TLS handshake failing between Cloudflare and the origin server. Reports put the outage back to around July 2026. There has been no shutdown notice, no farewell post and no sign of an acquisition; the domain is still registered and still paid for.

We are not going to call it dead, because nobody has said so. The practical position is worse than a clean shutdown either way: no updates, no support, and no way to move a licence. It is the cheapest lesson on this page, so take it before you need it — ask what the plugin does when the licence stops. Doozly keeps working when a licence lapses; you lose updates and support, not your boxes. AAWP sells one year of updates and support and the plugin stays installed. Lasso is a hosted service, so its answer is structurally different and worth asking about directly.

We would rather send you somewhere else than have you buy a licence you did not need.

The case against us, stated plainly: Doozly is new, it has no lifetime licence, it carries no amazon.cn tag, and it has nothing like AAWP’s nine years of releases behind it. Those are real reasons to pick something else, and you would have found them out anyway.
